Reflecting back on 2014, it is clear that our family had a year with some surprises. Some were great, like a new baby boy, Matteo. And some were not great, like our dad getting West Nile Virus. Through it all, we have remained grateful and positive for all of our blessings. Our dad is getting stronger and his positive attitude is incredible. We know that wonderful things await us in 2015. It is going to be a great year! Happy New Year to everyone!

Hi Everyone! Sorry that it has been a while since we had an update. Things have been steadily improving. Our dad is incredibly positive about his prognosis and his attitude is truly inspiring. He is one very special person, as all of you know. After spending 3 weeks in Cedars Sinai's physical therapy program, he is now back at home. While there, he made a lot of improvement and is learning how to be more independent.
We were VERY grateful this past Thanksgiving to have our dad sitting at our table. We are all so happy to have him home. Hope you all had a special Thanksgiving and we wish you a happy holiday season!!

Happy Birthday to our dad! It has been a challenging few months, but we are incredibly grateful that we are able to celebrate together and that he has had so much improvement. We are very appreciative of the people who visited our dad for his birthday and those who sent their birthday wishes from near and far. He had a big smile on his face and was surrounded with so much love and positivity. We definitely know what his birthday wish is this year! We are all wishing for him to get back on his feet again. Cheers to a year ahead filled with health, happiness and positivity!

Exciting news! Another step in the right direction! Our dad got his feeding tube removed! He is back to eating and his overall health has gotten much better. We are very happy to be providing such a positive update and believe that he will continue to improve exponentially moving forward. He said he wants to increase his physical therapy. He is very motivated to work hard and get back on his feet!

We hope everyone had an easy fast. This Yom Kippur, we had a very special guest come visit our dad. Since he couldn't go to temple, he couldn't hear the shofar - one of his favorite sounds. So, they brought the shofar to him, which brought a big smile to his face. He was able to get out of bed for a little bit and sit in a wheelchair at our table. It was a wonderful moment for our family.

L'Shana Tova! We hope everyone had a very happy New Year! We are excited that our dad is improving mentally and grateful that he was able to get out of bed and into a wheelchair for a little bit with the help of his caretakers. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much improvement physically, but we are happy to be getting him back mentally. We have missed him! We are hopeful that this new year will bring him health and healing. Thank you to everyone, as always, for the ongoing support.
